Hey guys, I can't reinstall OSX and it's driving me insane.
This is the sequence of events that has taken place
I have an early/mid? 2010 MacBook Pro, 13"
- Operating system is running slowly
- Eventually I can't boot into operating system. MacBook Pro is stuck on the Apple load screen when you first turn on computer
- Eventually I get fed up so I insert OSX install disk to use disk utility but it won't let me repair the disks.
- I try re-installing OSX but it says there is a problem and that I should call Apple for support if problem persists
- Friend suggests possible hard drive failure so I bought a new Momentus XT.
- Problems with the new drive showing up on my Mac so we used his Mac to format and partition the drive
- When I try installing OSX I get the same error as before, to go contact Apple
- I can't format or partition the drive from disk utility.
What can the possible problem be?
To add, I can't find the disc to do hardware tests.
