Hey,

The DVD-rom on my old macbook is completely useless and just spits out the SL install dvd when I put it in, so I am trying to install it via my MBP's dvd drive which is shared on my wifi network. I can read the disc from the old macbook, but when I double click on "Install Mac OS X" nothing really happens. The application shows up in the dock, but it does not pop up and there is no way to start the actual installation. Is there any setting or anything I have to turn on to be able to start the program properly? I tried opening the installation info file in one of the folders on the DVD and it worked fine, so I'm not really sure whats going on. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
