Hi, I have to install Windows 7 to run some software for work. I decided to install it first on virtual box, before going through a boot camp installation. I have a 64 bit version of Home Premium which seems to install fine until the very last step. Then I get a message saying that Windows failed to install because I'm trying to install a 64 bit version and my CPU does not support 64 bit. Yet, in the boot camp installation guide it specifically states that you can use any 64 bit version of Windows Vista or Windows 7 with any MBP made after early 2008. I have a 15" mid 2009 model. If anyone could help me to figure this out I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

What CPU is Virtualbox presenting to Windows?

Just because you can install it in Boot camp (natively) doesn't mean you can in Virtualbox.
