Hi Guys,

so i have followed all the tutorials etc and im having no luck. I have gone through all the bootcamp etc and then the macbook reboots, expecting to start the windows installation. Then all i get it a black screen, for hours. Doesnt do anything!

I have the windows disk in an external dvd drive but it just doesnt seem to be booting windows setup.

Anyone else experienced these problems?

thanks

mike

IIRC unless your external drive is an Apple superdrive, it won't work ... burn the ISO to a USB key and install it that way. Search for the mydigitallife URL where you can re download W7 ISO.

hi mate, thanks for the reply.
I have also tried that with no luck. I have a 16gb usb drive.

Surely it wouldnt have compatibility problems with 16gb drives??

thanks

have you tried, putting the superdrive back into the laptop (with the disc in ofcourse) and start up the laptop to see if windows will install?
