Problems installing XP via Parallels

I'm on a Mac Pro (2008) and I'm trying to install XP. It stops doing anything once it starts installing devices. It says there's about 35 minutes left in the install. It's not frozen--just not doing anything. I'm installing from a WinXP corporate disc without any service packs. It installed on my Alum iMac, but so far not on the Mac Pro. Any ideas?

I had a similar problem. I created a disk image from the install CD, then installed from the disk image instead. Seemed to work for me.

Don't you need SP2 for XP to work, or is that just for Bootcamp?

I don't know what happened the first time around, but I deleted the files that were made, and reinstalled WinXP and everything went fine.
