Hi,

I am having problems getting image back on my iMac 2011, after I took out the SuperDrive and mounted an SSD-disk instead.

I think I have connected all the cables back on, but the monitor is still black, and the fan of the CPU is spinning all the time.

Any tipses, ideas on how to fix this ??

The computer boots allright and all is good, but I just don´t get image on the panel + that forever spinning CPU-fan. (I´ve read I could reset that with an SMC-reset, but haven´t been lucky with that so far.)

The fan spinning will be due to a missing temperature sensor/cable.

Shine a torch on the screen? Is there a really faint image? If so, you haven't connected the backlight connector properly. If not, it's the LVDS cable.

If you've reseated them and it's still not working, you may have damaged something during the repair.
