Problems opening app store through link from safari

I often search for apps on safari and press the itunes/app store link to go to app store.
Most often I end up with a blank square white page?! And have to search for the app in app store manually instead (sometimes it can be difficult to find the app)
Am I the only one with this problem?
I assume its an app store problem?
Have tried different apps and different accounts and most the time I end up with the picture added...a blank screen.

Isn't it because the app is not available in your country?

I am an iOS developer and have recently came across this.

Before iOS 7 there was a certain URL you could use to open the app store link directly. However since iOS 7 this link no longer works and in fact just opens the App Store to a blank page (very annoyed at apple for breaking this).

It's up to the developers to change the URLs to match the iOS 6 or the newer scheme in iOS 7.
