Problems recovering damaged zip file.. HELP!

i'm having serious problems with a zip file i created using the "archive" utility. i've tried opening with Stuffit Expander. getting an error message: The archive may be damaged (Error #17537).

What can i dooo???? PLEASE HELP!

Stuffit isn't very good.

Have you tried opening it with Mac OS X' built-in tool, instead, the BOMArchiveHelper (or whatever it was called in Tiger) or Archive Utility (as it's been renamed to in Leopard)? That ought to be your standard choice for uncompressing zip files, anyway, rather than Stuffit.
