Hi Folks,
I have an ATV3 that is ethernet connected to a FIOS router.
Renting movies on Friday or Saturday nights has become a big problem; movie previews OK, rental transaction goes fine, then the dreaded message that my movie will be available for viewing in 9 hours. Then the wife looks at me and says "Apple sucks and some of my friends are losing their enthusiasm for Apple as well". I then revert to FIOS movie rental and that works once I navigate through that horrendous UI with 20 second latency.

The thing is weekday movie rentals with the ATV are never a problem.

Anybody have similar experience?

Nope, never encountered that. My rented movies (on Saturdays as I rarely ever watch a movie on a weekday) always start almost instantly and I have 11Mbps dowload DSL.
