Hi Guys,
My Mid 2010 Macbook Pro died the other day so I replaced the hard drive, and put the old drive into an external enclosure. I rebooted and managed to get into disk utlity and started to restore the old disk onto the new hard drive. The problem is this seemed to fail as it quickly stopped. Now when I try to do the same thing to properly restore it says Could not erase target - Operation not permitted. I don't have the original os x CD to boot from. Is there anything else I can do?
Thanks,
Andy
