Problems uploading pictures

I'm having problems uploading pictures, specifically when trying to add a picture in Ebay.

I go through the usual process and get the window that says "uploading picture". Nothing actually happens, and then eventually the grey bar at the bottom says "done". I don't get an error message.

I'm using Firefox, but have the same issue on Safari. I thought it might be to do with the size of the file (2.5mb) as I've managed to upload a very low resolution picutre, but I've not had problems in the past uploading in the same way and even when I re-size the picture it doesn't help.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

I've been able to upload on to Facebook and also got some pictures on to Snapfish.

I read via the Ebay "answerbank" to try uploading to "tinypic.com" to establish if you could use other websites. I tried this and it failed.

I did manage to upload the same picture when I was at work. So I don't think the picture size is too big for Ebay.
