I sometimes connect my MacBook to my 51" Samsung TV to watch YouTube videos. I connect via an HDMI cable and a Mini Display Port adapter. I recently upgraded to Lion and now whenever I connect my laptop I get a "Mode Not Supported" message on the TV when I go into clamshell mode. If I just use the TV as a secondary monitor but still have the display on the MacBook itself going everything works perfectly fine.

I'm assuming the Lion upgrade is causing this since I never had any problem until I upgraded, but I want to make sure there isn't anything wrong with my MacBook or TV. I've had my MacBook for a couple years but the TV is only a few months old. I'd hate to have to replace either of them.

If Lion is the problem, is there some kind of workaround or will I just have to use both displays from now on?
