Problems with a HP Mediaserver EX 495

Hi - I'm new to the forum and I really need your help. I bought a Mediaserver EX 495 and I am having problems watching movies stored in the server. I copied all my ripped DVDs (ripped with Rip it) to the video share folder, when I try to watch a movie the video is choppy and at times it freezes. The same movie plays fine when played from the desktop. Any ideas what may be going on?

BTW, when I try to convert the ripped movies I also get an error message "exception from hresult: 0x8f00250d".

iTunes and audio streaming's all fine, it's just the video issue.

I may have to return it and get a QNAP, Synology or Drobo.

OK. So I was able watch a movie ripped with Handbreak (m4v format) that is being stored in the MSS and was able to play it with out any issues with both iTunes and Quicktime. It guess is something to do with the rip results I get when using RipIt. Anyone have any ideas?
