Hello, I currently have a problem with the Apple TV remote interfering with my MacBook Pro,

Now I know what you're going to say, go into System Preferences, Security and disable the IR receiver which I have already done:

Yet it still interferes with my MacBook, I have even tried pairing it with my MBP just so I can unpair it again but to no avail. My previous laptop (Late '08 Aluminium MacBook) had no problems when I checked that box and everything was fine. Just wondering if anyone can tell me something I might have missed?

Thanks.

Bump

Have the same problem, have two apple remotes, tried pairing them with devices, turning off IR receiver in system profile.....EVERYTHING - but nope, no joy I have had to stick black tape over my IR receiver to prevent interaction....

If anyone can help - Would be greatly appreciated

I have the exact same issue with my 2011 MBP.. So annoying everytime your navigating thru your Apple TV menu, little do you know your choosing a song in iTunes.

Any ideas on solving this issue?
