Ok so i got my new 15 inch MBP today (which is a very exciting upgrade from my 3 year old plastic macbook :D). But trying to figure out how to connect it to my HDTV for a good image. I got a mini display port to hdmi adaptor and plugged it all in but the quality is pretty bad, so much so it's far worse than when i plugged my macbook in via vga by far! The tv is a 26" sony bravia, don't know much more than that... So is there a way to improve the image because it's really not nice especially compared with the awesome image my MBP has! All help very appreciated guys, thanks :)

FWIW, I got 2 adaptors:

MDP -> DVI and MDP -> HDMI

My computer monitors have DVI and HDMI inputs.

The DVI looks great. The HDMI looked pretty bad - soft image, bad color.

I have a couple of Sony TVs but have not attempted to connect to them. If I do I will report back.
