Problems with Bluetooth on phone calls

I am using a Plantronics Discovery 975 bluetooth with my iphone 4s. I am able to pair it and the iphone says it is connected. However, when I try to make a phone call, the sound does not come through the Bluetooth. When I use Siri through the Bluetooth it works just fine. What do I need to do to get Bluetooth to work for phone calls?
