Problems with Boot Camp Start Up Freezing

Hi,
i installed vista 32bit on my imac (intel). All was fine, the computer was working in harmoney with vista.

Now, when i restart my computer, i hold down the alt key and get the choice of vista or mac, when i select vista, and click on the arrow underneath, suddenly, the computer freezes and you loose control of the mouse and the only way to stop it is to hold the power off key, and then try again, vista will not start up which i dont understand as it was working perfectly.

Is there an update or something that im missing?

CAN ANYONE OUT THERE HELP????
