Problems with Computer to Computer File Sharing

I've got a wireless computer to computer network set up but only one computer is able to connect to the other's public folder for sharing. I've checked both computer sharing system preferences to insure "Read and Write" are both on....and I get nothing. Help!!!!!

are both on the same router? do you have a firewall setup?
