This is my first post, would greatly (and I do mean very greatly) appreciate advice. I disconnected a Seagate external drive the other day and all my drive icons on my iMac desktop disappeared. Also lost is my ability to see my harddrive info in Finder, and (most importantly) my ability to open up my Time Machine. All info seems to remain intact (as I can open through Lauchpad). 
First problem I have ever had with my Mac in the 6 years I have owned it and have read every forum that seems to pertain to the issue.
Thoughts?
