Problems with Edimax EW-7711 AC adapter

I have connected Edimax EW-7711 AC adapter to my mid 2010 Macbook to take advantage of my AC Linksys Router Model 6200. Edimax utility does not display my 5.0 ghz wireless network. Now it is saying that the adapter's radio is off. I am using Mountain Lion and I have installed the drivers and the utility correctly. I stay in Qatar in the Middle East. Kindly help me to configure this AC wireless adapter.
