Hey guys;

My friends and I decided to go 'old school' and play Empire Earth 1 this weekend, just for fun. I'm on my MacBook Pro, and I have Windows 7 running on Virtual Box. I installed EE just fine, but now it won't run. I double-click on the icon, and I get the little 'thinking...' blue circle, for about 5 seconds, and then it stops 'thinking' and nothing happens. I've let it sit for 5-10 minutes, and nothing happens at all. Searching around, I've not been able to find this exact answer (because it's not a common issue, I'm guessing.)

Through searching, I've learned to enable 'passthrough' with my CD/DVD drive, and I've also enabled 3D Graphics on my guest. I've also changed compatibility on the program, to try to run it in Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows 98 compatibility. I've also made sure to run as administrator, and nothing is working.

Any/all help would be much appreciated.

Oh damn, I wish I was there to play with you guys - love that game.

OMG hell yeah! I used to spend hours and hours of class time playing that back in high school...:eek:I'm gettin old!!!!!

Just bumping, seeing if anyone might be able to help...?

And to the other two posters, yes, we love EE as well, that's why we decided to play this weekend. (=

Crossover won't run EE 1 but the good news is bootcamp with xp on your Mac Pro will do it perfectly. I know because I play it that way on my bigscreen with max resolution and it's more awesome than ever!!
