I have a mid 2010 17" MBP and two of nearly identical dell 24" monitors over mini display port to dvi adapter, one @home and one in the office. Everything worked fine until recently (shortly after 10.7.2).
Since one week I have problems when switching monitors. When I'm plugin-in 'the other monitor' (from work to home or vice versa) the colors on the external monitor are gone. Mostly to see in dock (cmd-tab clicking produces white icons), photos are reduced to base colours, etc.
Funny thing is that if I move a window (for example thunderbird from native to external) it looks ok on the native display, but the half on the external monitor is white with pink lines).
After a reboot the problems are gone, until next monitor switch.
Anyone else having the same issue? Does it sound like hardware or software problem? Anything one can do against it?
