Hi guys.

I recently got an iBook G4 and cannot for the life of me figure out how to mount an external HDD. The HDD is a WD 1TB usb 2.0/firewire 800/eSATA drive. I've tried reformatting it and resizing the partitions. What size partition should OS X 10.4.1.1 be able to see and how should I format it? Thanks in advance for any help!

10.4.11 will be able to see the full 1TB in any partition you can format it with on a modern Mac. Be it APM, GUID, or MBR with HFS+, FAT32 (not recommended), exFAT, or NTFS. Does it show up in the iBook's Disk Utility?

Well then I have no idea why it's not mounting the hard drive.

Well I don't know what I did that was different, but it just mounted.
