Problems with iCal

I have a MacBook and an iPad. I sync with MobileMe. Everything was fine until I noticed I had duplicate calendars on iCal. I removed them myself without knowing there was a special way to do this. At the same time I upgraded to the new MobileMe calendar.

My problem is that I can no longer sync entries from my macBook to my iPad. This problem is the same whether I use MobileMe or syncing with iTunes. The calendar entires do not appear on MobileMe nor on my iPad. However, if I make the calendar entry on my iPad it does sync to MobileMe and then to my MacBook. (the same is true if I make the entry directly on MobileMe it syncs to my iPad and to my MacBook). I have followed all the rules on setting up my calendar and on MobileMe preferences.

Any suggestions?
