Problems with iOS 8 (still!?)

Am I the only one who seems to have some problems with iOS 8 already? Pulling down from the home screen to reveal Spotlight search turns the home screen gray and pixelated, rather than blurred, and pulling up in the lock screen to access either camera or Control Center doesn't always work too.

(iPhone 6, in use since yesterday around 7:30 am UTC +1)
