Because of bad orginisation after a Crash on my part.
I have my iphoto libary on my int. HD ( Images)
On my ccc Cloned ext. HD (images)
and on a partition of my ext. HD ( for heavy stuff).
All the recent stuff (2009) I put on iPhotos ONLY saves to the ext. HD (heavy stuff).
The other two placements( Int. HD and Clonned ext.HD) stop at 2008... This was when I lost all my photos and had to screw around with iPhotos to get them all back.
Since then the problem is that every time I open iPhotos It takes about 5 minutes to open and frequently blocks the whole ordi with ANY manipulation on iPhotos. ( sometimes needing a force Quit)
And even after I've quit the iphoto App. my ordi becomes REAL slow for about 5 minutes while the int. HD click and whirrs... then finally settles down, and things start to run normally again.
AS it ONLY saves to the ext. HD ( heavy stuff) COULD I THROW OUT TO THE RUBISH BIN the other two Iphoto Libary's on the Int. HD and Cloned ext.HD with out screwing up anything.
I get the feeling that with the 3 emplacements running at the same time I'm confusing my computer... and myself, to say the least. Thanks.
My OS is OSX 10.3.9 on a Pismo G3 and the iPhotos app is 2.0.1.
Please help as I've asked this question several times with no answers. Its getting to a point where I am scared to open iPhoto's in fear of crashing my computer.
ps. How can I change the settings so as my card reader will JUST download photos on to the desk top...by-passing iPhotos completly.
