My wife has a video iPod that she has had synced to her Thinkpad via XP for sometime now. She has an audiobook that she wants to keep on her iTunes, but not on her iPod. I unchecked the boxes of the audiobook for her, synced the iPod and although the dialog box in iTunes said iTunes sync is done, the screen on the iPod continued to display "do not disconnect."
I had just updated her iTunes to 7.5.0.20 and updated her iPod too. I restarted the Thinkpad following the update, and the iPod also restarted. After 5 minutes, I "ejected" the iPod and the book is still on her iPod. I repeated this a few times, checked handle things manually, but that didn't seem to help either.
Any thoughts on where I can go with this???
I keep telling her and offering to get her a Mac. Don't get me started on the time I wasted fooling with her Thinkpad and XP.
Thanks.
Frank
