Hi folks. Got my new 4S today, and so far its been treating me well. Was recording my dog playing earlier on, and I sent the video to my iMac.
I imported the video to my Pictures folder with Preview.
When I check on the file location in Finder, it shows me a thumbnail of the video, and it is up on its side, as in a portrait version of the landscape video I recorded. I uploaded it to YouTube anyway to see if it would automatically fix the issue, but no, it was still standing up on its side.
I attempted to import the video to iMovie to rotate it, and that was fine, however, when I go to export from iMovie, it only allows me to export as 720p.
There is a rotate function on YouTube itself, but I worry that the compression and edit software from YouTube is going to be ruining the image quality it is recorded in.
So what i'm asking is if anyone knows a way around this? Should I import the video to my iMac with another program?
Also, when I check the file properties in finder, it reads 1080 x 1920. In that order. Which I found odd.
Thanks for any replies.
