Just wanted to see if anyone else out there had the same problem I did with this firmware upgrade.

It was absolutely the most annoying problem I have ever experienced with a router. After a few months of (relatively) stable use, the router started dropping connections, cutting me off AIM and BitTorrent on occasion. Then, the problem worsened to the point where resetting the router would not fix it and I couldn't even use Apple Software Update, which frustratingly claimed that I wasn't connected to the internet and just gave up on downloads after 10-20 seconds. Safari also began making the same claim every other time I loaded a page.

Probably the most annoying thing about this problem was how it seemed to sneak up on me... at first it was non-existant, but it gradually got worse and worse until I was to the point where I wanted to throw my router across the room and I didn't know why.

I ended up downgrading to 1.50.14 and the problems seem to be fixed now.

In the future, I don't plan on buying any more Linksys products. Not only are they fundamentally incompatible with Macs on many fronts, they are just crappy products anyway. It's unacceptable that firmware with this big of a problem is released as a final version. 1.52.02 is beta software at most.
