Problems with Mountain Lion

I waited for some time to install mountain lion and now I have I wish I hadn't. I've not come across any new features yet apart from notes, and my battery life has roughly halved since the install. Also, it takes considerably longer to shut down. Anyone else having these issues?

Macbook Pro 2012 (non retina), 2.2Ghz i7 CPU 8GB RAM 512GB SSD.

Mine was quite the contrary on my old 13" cMBP - and it was a core 2 duo, SSD, 8GB ram.

Battery life was reduced initially (only very minor) but I think an update fixed it up I can't remember

Also, try doing an SMC reset to see if that fixes any of your issues - battery especially. Goodluck
