Power button, volume button loose and rattles
Bezel already got a couple of dents and scratches
Sometimes unresponsive (touch and fingerprint sensor)
Compass app shows incorrect readings
Apps crash

Any fixes?

Get it replaced (for the loose buttons).

Was it dinged already when you got it, or dinged after you got it? If so, still get it replaced, but realize that's user fault and can easily happen again with the next phone you get.

The last two could be bugs fixed with the latest software update, iOS 7.0.3. If it's still on 7.0.2, upgrading could solve those.

Since you're within your one year warranty, I'd just bring in the device and they will likely give you a replacement.

telling us that is Gold is not sufficient information to be of any help, im afraid.

you also need to tell us serial number, storage space capacity, carrier, and your daily average battery consumption.

None of that has anything to do with any of the issues he's posted.

OP, as I said. The loose buttons and unresponsive screen/Touch ID sensor sound like enough of a reason to bring your phone in and have it replaced.

The other issues may be cured by a restore/upgrade of your iOS, but with the first issue, just bring it in.

Also, the material of the 5/5s is prone to denting and nicks, so make sure you take care of it.

Why does it matter that it's gold?

Inquiring minds wanna know.

As the owner of a (lowly silver) 5S, I have a hard time believing those problems
were all present RIGHT out of the box.
