I recently purchased an Epson printer/scanner (the Epson Stylus Photo RX595.) Initially, I was very pleased with the purchase; it does a wonderful scan job, which is what I primarily bought it for. However, I'm having a few problems with it, and can't figure out what's up.

#1: I can't get it to print. The print status will say it's connecting, or sending the data, but it never gets to the point where it's actually printing. I've tried to print stuff several times (and have waited a long time for it to print), but with no success.

#2: Scanning- most of what I have scanned so far has scanned beautifully. The images are sharp and crisp, and it doesn't mutilate my sketches (done in 6H pencil) the way my old scanner used to. However, I've got one piece (ink on watercolor paper) that refuses to scan nicely. Parts of it will be just fine, while other areas are coming out rather blurry. I tried scanning it twice, and got the same results. I didn't change the settings at all from my other scan jobs, either (all at 300 dpi.) When I open it in Photoshop, it will look crisp at 25%, but when I zoom in at 100%, the blurriness is evident. This is the opposite with everything else I've scanned- if they look blurry at all (which few have), that blurriness disappears once I zoom in closer. So I really don't know what to do- I am the one doing something wrong, or is my drawing just a lemon that refuses to scan properly?

Any thoughts?
