iPod touch Problems With New iPod Touch 4G

So about a month ago I got a new white iPod Touch 4G. About 2 weeks after I got it I noticed a speck of dirt or dust under the screen that is noticeable when I am looking at a white screen. Today I noticed a small scratch in the middle of the screen that was not there this morning. I did not drop it or put it in my pocket with my keys or anything that would easily scratch it. Do you think that I can take it in to a Genius at the Apple Store and have the thing under the screen replaced? And will they fix the small scratch on the screen. I do not expect them to, I am simply wondering if it is worth the trip to the Apple Store (not that it is that long of a trip.)
