So I had previously gotten an iMac inherited by my mom, its not brand new but not old. Latest generation.

It had leopard, so I bought the lion cd at bestbuy and installed it.

I then installed a bootcamp partition, and installed Windows 7... sorry but I still need to use some programs on windows.

Now my OSX Lion is corrupted, it just gets stuck at beginning Apple loading screen.

When I put in the CD and try to boot off of it, it just keeps loading. When I go to recovery, and try to install new version. It says my apple id doesn't have a copy of Lion??

Lion was never available for sale on a CD or DVD. Are you sure you don't mean Snow Leopard?

If you installed your current OS from a DVD that you bought at Best Buy, you don't have Lion installed.

hmm im confused now then, what do i need to install lion or mountain lion.
