I changed the password on my yahoo account, and then when I tried to change it on my iPhone, I keep getting a message that says:
"the user name or password for "imap.apple.mail.yahoo.com" is incorrect.
I've tried at least a dozen times, and made sure that I'm entering the correct password and username.

Any suggestions?

I've tried that and it still doesn't work.

Hmmm.....well I know the iPhone stores addresses you use and there's no way to get rid of them unless you restore as new. I hesitate to tell you to restore as new. You could try resetting all settings and see what that does (DO NOT click erase all settings).

The weird thing is that I was able to add in another yahoo account I had. Maybe the yahoo server hasn't registered the fact that I changed my password yet? This is annoying because it's one of my primary email accounts.

**Just did a little googling, and apparently the iPhone does like characters that aren't numbers or letters. Strange, but changing my password again worked.

Yahoo's imap seems to have periods of issues more than the pop system. Have you tried the pop connection to see if that works?

Provide the link to your google, if you don't mind. I'd never heard that.

Edit: Found it myself. I assume you meant this:

I've never heard that...my pass for my iTunes account contains ">" and "<" in it and I've never had a problem.
