Is it true you can't ever get all your info off the phone and that the new owner can access personal data if you sell it?

Where did you hear that? iPhones have had hardware encryption since the 3GS. You wipe it and all your data is unrecoverable gibberish.

Restore and sell on in confidence.

The man off the street will have no reason or want to try and recover fragmented data anyway, nor would they probably have the software to try !

There were some issues with iMessage. You might want to disable it before wiping the device.

Thanks! I have always restored it and erased everything but had read somewhere that is now known to be problematic. Great to know it isn't an issue. Hate to lose the money from the sale of my phone:).
