Problems with some apps launching on G5 with Panther

I'm currently having two very annoying and frustration issues.

Whenever I try to open the Lacie Firewire 800 firmware updater on my PowerMac G5 it just starts to open the crashes. The Dock starts to make room for the new app, but right away it crashes.
I have redownload the update and I have tried restarting and all the same results.

Second I downloaded and tried to open Pod2Go and same problem when try to open the app. The Dock starts to make room and it crashes right away.

Currently these two apps are the only ones I'm having problems with it.

Very annoying!
