Problems with Spotlight

As of lately my Spotlight hasn't been working. No matter what I type in it doesn't do anything. I checked my System Preferences/Spotlight Privacy settings and theres nothing in the box for it to not search.

Anyone have any tips or what to do to get it working again? I've been searching the forums and google and haven't found much that helped.

Try reindexing Spotlight: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2409

I've tried that as well and it didn't do anything. Its acting almost like Spotlight isn't even on the computer anymore.

No I haven't done that yet.
