Problems with Tiscali mailbox

Hi, I'm having weird problem with my Tiscali.co.uk mailbox on iMac 10.4.10, connected through TalkTalk. Until last Tuesday, everything worked perfectly OK - was checking my mail through Safari and/or Mail. For the last few days, when I was checking the mailbox through Safari, it took about a minute or so to display a single message from the list of all in Inbox. But, when I tried to access the same mailbox from different computer, it worked normally fast and i didnt spot any problem. Other websites and all web apps are running as fast as usually on my home computer. Anybody here who experienced the same problem? Thanks for any help - tried to contact the Tiscali support, but was told that they are not supporting Macs t all...
