Just recently I am having problems with tracking my HR during a workout with my S10 Ti. Works fine for a few initial minutes but then "grays out" afterwards. I can move it from one arm to anther, even turn the watch over to the wrist and it fails to restart. Only thing I can think of is it is cold but pretty sure my heart is still beating.

Anyone else have these issues

Tattoos affect the readers if you have any there.

Or try a hard reboot holding both buttons down until Apple logo appears. Good for sorting various gremlins.

What kind of workout are you doing?

The only workout I do regularly is walking, and yes, the watch often loses track of my heartbeat, but intermittently, not like it greys out and never comes back like you describe. If I notice the watch is not reading my heartbeat, I stop and jiggle it on my wrist until the heartbeat reading comes back. But that's possible because I'm just walking, so I can just stop anytime I want.

I routinely have this issue with both an AWU 2 and S10 titanium while running so I wear a Polar HR arm band. I’ve had the same issue with prior AWs. But they work fine for me when walking, strength training and indoor cycling.

It may be beating, but the circulation of the blood it is pumping to your extremities is likely reduced in cold weather. I never have a problem with heart rate tracking when it's warm, but have had sporadic issues with it graying out when the mercury dips below freezing -- a bit more frequently with my previous series 5 than my current series 9, but it has happened with both.

This morning, it worked better after I loosened the band. Thanks for the feedback.

Cold will affect it for sure. I keep mine under a sleeve when it's cold out to try to keep the temperature up.
