Hello everyone,

This is my firts thread here at MacRumors. :)

The thing is, I have a project on iMovie 08 and the first time I tried to place a transparent png file (from iPhoto Library) over the video clips, it worked fine. But then, I tried to place a second transparent png over another video clip on the same project, which wouldn't be visible at all.

Since then, I've done the same steps over and over again but my project seems to ignore all the PNGs files, like there is nothing but the video clips and audio, allthoug they all appear on the "timeline" exactly where I placed them.

If I create a new project and drag the same PNG files there, it works.

Any one ?

Thanks

Sorry to resurrect a dead thread but I get the same thing!

Well - atleast you told me to create a new project and try it in there - that works atleast...

I never used iMovie before, but some programs only accept transparency for PNG-24, so maybe iMovie is not recognizing it unless it's in PNG-24 format instead of PNG-8? Just a thought...

I want it to be font, and it is clear but it has black pixels around it and it's not crisp cut. Please help.

Not sure what this is about. But as for the OP, can you try a TIFF? They should support transparency and I use them in Final Cut a lot.
