I had been running VPC on my DP 867 and Pismo for a while. After upgrading to Panther I reinstalled VPS on the PM. I lost the win98 CD it came with (have the serial number and all that legal stuff) so I copied the OS file from my Pismo (still running Jag). This used to work out OK under Jagual, but now it get a kernal panic without fail in minutes.

So I need to reinstall a fresh OS. Problem is I dont have the Win98 CD and the manual is pathetic about explaining how to intall a new OS to begin with. I can probably get a Win98 install CD (bootable) from some IT friends. How do I go about installing this in VPC?

While I'm at it, is VPC 6 worth upgrading to? I will only use VPC for my GPS stuff so its not that big a deal (unless it speeds up communication with external devices like GPS units).

I'd wait to upgrade VPC because it sounds like VPC 7 s coming out within a decent amount of time... I can't get VPC 5 to work on my iBook G4 anyhow...
