I'm following the instructions to install Win7 through Boot Camp Assistant on my MacPro5,1 from the apple support website: https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT205016
The problem is when it gets to this part in Boot Camp Assistant mine shows different options.
Apple support website shows this:
My Boot Camp Assistant shows this:
Step 3 of the tutorial says:
3. If your copy of Windows 7 came on a DVD, create a disk image of the install disc for use with Boot Camp.
Why is the tutorial telling me to create a Windows 7 iso when I already have the install DVD? Furthermore it's not even giving me the option to create the install disk.
Step 6 of the tutorial says:
6. Select only the options to create a Windows install disk and to download the latest Windows support software from Apple. Then click Continue.
My Boot Camp Assistant doesn't say this.
The tutorial then leads me to this page to create an ISO disk image for some reason:
https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT203909
Why is it telling me to do this when I can simply insert the Windows 7 install DVD and install it that way?
Using OS X El Capitan 10.11.2
Tutorials say they were updated 17Dec2015 and 19Aug2015 so it's not old information.
