planeSo I'm just posting to say that after several months of putting up with the fact that this drive case sounds the deck of an aircraft carrier, I discovered the buttons on the front let you set the fan speed, including setting it to 'auto' instead of 'massive ****ing hurricane'.
Well yes, aren't I? And yet probably others are too, so I just thought I'd post this, in case anyone else was as silly as I was...

Yes. However, mine appears to always use the "low" speed when set to Auto. I checked the temps of my hard drives and they were very warm (I use 7200rpm Seagate drives so they are fairly warm drives). I find the "Middle" speed to be a good compromise between cooling and noise.

But yes, on the highest speed HOLY @#%@ is it crazy noisy....
