Will be picking up my new 6S shortly and want to be sure that I know what I'm doing. As far as I can tell there are are three steps:

Backup 4S, with ITunes, to my local computer
Get 6S and activate it on Verizon
Restore the 4S backup to the 6S using ITunes

Am I missing anything?

Not missing anything. Once it's done though decide what your doing with the 4s, if your getting rid of it turn off find my iPhone then reset all content and settings. Simples.

If your storing it as a backup charge to 60% and store it in a cool dry place.

Encrypt your backup with a password, so that e-mail passwords and other login data transfer over when restoring to your 6S. Otherwise you'll need to re-enter all your login credentials.

Thanks, the 60% charge is good input as is the encrypting, had not thought of either.
