So I'm one of the eager beavers waiting for the Core I7 iMacs to be shipped.
Just curious though. I'm assuming all "stock" Macs are built via assembly line in the factory from China right? (or someone correct me if I'm wrong on that).
With the Buy-to-Orders (BTOs), are they separately built or or do they take one of the stock macs and just replace the units with the specific customization request (i.e. upgrade hard drive or graphics card or RAM).
I ask because with all the pre-orders for the Quad Cores, I'm just wondering how that plays into when the units will be shipped?
