Anyone know if there exists a utility for 10.4 which replicates the "System Prefs.. Energy Saver.. Options.. Processor Performance" option but in a more accessible way? I tend to switch modes fairly often, so ideally I'd like a little menubar icon which I could click to toggle performance modes, or maybe a dock icon. No widgets please ;)

Would be Great

I've got a 1.67Ghz PB G4. In order to keep the battery cool when its charging, I put processor performance on "reduced." But when it's finished I like to throttle up to highest for a snappier experience.

If I could write programs, I would totally write something like "CPU Speed" that throttles down when the battery is charging (and discharging), and then automatically throttles up when the battery is full.

Maybe I need to learn how to write this myself!
