Production change or variance?

Seem's like quite a difference to be just a variance between different production weeks. Any one think Apple might be tweaking the design?

Definitely look different, but I don't see what it accomplishes. It will still get dinged by looking at it the wrong way.

Normally I'd tend to agree its variance. Just seems odd that they would have this much variance when they made such a big deal over the tolerance they could hold on cutting the chamfers. Then again as some one already mentioned its hard to see what this would accomplish if it were a production change.

Looking at the first picture maybe. The second picture shows a clear difference in the chamfers.

Maybe different factories are cutting them a bit differently? Seems like a quite a big difference and can be annoying to those "perfect fit" cases

Hm, I'm not quite sure. The difference seems way too much to be variance.

That isnt variance IMO. Just have to wait and see if anyone else is getting phones with the new look. Too much of a difference to be just "variance".

Mine looks like the one on the left. I got mine on day 1, forget the mfg week (36, 37?)

My white is more like the one on the left. Smaller chamfered edge. Mine is Week 33

quite a large difference. With how specific they claim to be on the mfg. process, I would not expect that to just be because of "variance".

My guess: Apple may be tweaking the mfg. process to account for chipping or whatever.

...that or it's a fake!
