Hi,

My primary system for development is Mac Studio, however I use MacBook Pro a lot of time when I'm out of the office or somewhere else in the building. Now, some things I am able to do using SSH connection to my desktop, but still sometimes I need to run visual studio on my desktop PC and it is not possible. These times I envy Windows users their RDP which works like a charm. Do we have any similar solution on Mac which would work comparably productively.

If you're trying to connect remotely to a Windows computer, then just use the Microsoft Remote Desktop app, available through the App Store.

I'd like to connect remotely from mobile macOS to desktop macOS

I'm assuming from reply #3 by "desktop PC" you mean your Mac Studio...

I don't see why macOS's built-in Screen Sharing.app wouldn't work for this. Turn on Screen Sharing on the Mac Studio (System Prefereinces-->Sharing-->Screen Sharing). On your MacBook Pro connect with Finder. (Pick your Studio in the sidebar and click Share Screen in the top right of the window, or press Cmd-K and enter 'vnc://your-studio-machine-name'.)

EDIT: forgot to say that this only works (easily) if the two machines are on the same network!

I second Screens. Screens does two things very well. It puts a beautiful and easy to use user interface over the Mac's built in screen sharing, and it tackles the problem of tracking the IP address of your home machine so you can connect when you are away.
