Right click (two-finger tap) on the document name on the window and it shows you the location where the document is saved. You can also click on any location to open it in finder. Check out this attached image.

This is helpful when you have a lot of similar looking documents open and loose track of which file is saved where. Note: this only works when you are working with a saved document.

(Tested on Word for Mac 2011, OS X Mavericks)
